Moderator: Dr. Karl Fuchs
Dr. Fuchs studied computer science at the university of Munich where he got his Ph.D. degree in computer science. In 1991, he joined the central research and advanced development organization of Siemens where he worked on automatic test pattern generation techniques, synthesis for testability, and the application of build-in-self-test methods in VLSI circuits. Dr. Fuchs did 17 publications, mainly IEEE, during his research work at the university of Munich and the research center of Siemens. From 1994 – 2007, he was with Siemens Mobile Radio Networks Infrastructure in Munich. As vice president R&D he was responsible for the worldwide development of the operation and maintenance software system of the radio access networks GERAN, UTRAN, and BWA. In 2007, he joined Siemens VDO and headed the multi-media platform development in Germany. He joined company Continental in 2008 as the head of R&D Germany of business unit Infotainment and Connectivity. From 2011 until 2017, Dr. Fuchs was as a vice president responsible for the development quality, the supplier delivery quality, and the production quality of business unit Infotainment and Connectivity, both in Germany and in Singapore. Afterwards, he relocated to Shanghai and headed the China corporate quality organization of Continental. Since Jan. 2020, he is leading the China Innovation & Technology organization of Continental in Shanghai.
